Lavender Champagne

Are you familiar with Champagne or the differences between Champagne, Prosecco and Brut?  This cocktail recipe recipe made me do some research to find out which would be the best paired with our Lavender Simple Syrup. Champagne only comes from a province in France known as Champagne. This region produces sparkling white wine that bears its name in modern-day France. Many of the sparkling wines come with a hefty price tag as well.

For a more budget friendly alternative to Champagne, Prosecco is a lighter and cheaper option. It's made from white Prosecco grapes and has become increasingly popular at its more frugal side. It is a younger version of Champagne, but made throughout the world.

Another budget friendly sparkling wine choice is Brut. Brut is a much drier and less sweet version of champagne and prosecco.

So we will leave it with you on which you choose Champagne, Prosecco or Brut.

Sparkling Christmas Cocktail with Lavender

Try this Sparkling Christmas Cocktail with Lavender! 🍾
We love to support local as well as get involved with opportunities that give back to the community and those less fortunate. We met Cara Bartel with ONEHOPE Wine at a holiday event when she was sampling the many different wines that they offer. I love the concept that they were established to have each bottle provide a certain amount to go to a charity. ONEHOPE was founded by eight friends with a lofty vision: to create exceptional products that inspire people to indulge while doing good. Their commitment to quality wine is as important as our commitment to the causes they support. To date they have made more than $3 million in donations, provided 46,000 people with global health care, 49,000 forever homes for shelter animals, 1.8 million meals for children, 163,000 life-saving vaccines!

I purchased a bottle of Sparkling Brut that helps to provides 2 meals to a child in need. It has a crisp, fresh with a sweet peach flavor, with delicate sweet berries mixed with light pears, finishing with creamy and refreshing bubbles. This Brut Sparkling Wine is flexible when pairing with foods and is suggested to go with appetizers, seafood, sushi as well as a wide range of desserts and cheeses.

We paired it in our cocktail combined with our Lavender Simple Syrup and coconut milk. Garnish with our Lavender Cocktail Picks and maybe a cranberry for Christmas or a slice of lime.
