It is apple season in the Pacific Northwest and we're celebrating with a fun recipe we developed using this amazing fruit. You know how much I love Lavender, but my next favorite thing is caramel...and I had to use some of my favorite Caramel Sauce made by, Sweet Cravings Candy Co. for a yummy dip for this recipe. Makes you ready for the fall and want to lick your fingers. Lavender Apple Ring Fries
2-3 apples, sliced 1/4" thick 1 cup flour 3/4 cup milk 1/4 cup butter, melted 1/2 cup lavender sugar (reserve 2 Tbsp for topping apples) 1/2 tsp cinnamon Preheat oven to 400℉. In a small bowl combine lavender sugar and cinnamon. Stir until blended and reserve 2 Tbsp. for topping apples. In a medium sized bowl mix together flour, lavender sugar, melted butter, and milk. With a whisk stir batter until smooth. Using a apple core slicer, cut the cores out of your apples, and slice 1/4" thick. Dip your apple slices into your batter and then lay them on a oil sprayed cookie sheet, or cookie sheet with silpat mat. Once you have filled your cookie sheet, sprinkle your reserved lavender sugar cinnamon mixture over the top of your battered apples. Bake in 400 ℉ for 20-25 minutes or until golden on top. While apples are baking make up your Lavender Caramel Dipping Sauce. Lavender Caramel Dipping Sauce 4 oz cream cheese, softened 1/2 cup caramel sauce 1/2 tsp lavender extract Combine with a hand held mixer in a small mixing bowl, cream cheese, caramel sauce and lavender extract until smooth. Drizzle over the top more caramel sauce. Once apples are toasted from the oven serve warm from the oven with your lavender caramel dip.

Lavender and citrus burst in flavor for this fun inspiring recipe. After buying a bag or oranges and contemplating how to use them, we decided to blend into our lavender scone mix, we came up with this delightful treat. So many enjoy lemon and lavender together and we think that lavender with any citrus brightens the day. Lavender Citrus Scones with Lavender Orange Glaze
1 package Norwood Lavender Farm Lavender Scone Mix 1 egg 1/2 cup orange juice 1/3 cup butter zest from one orange In a medium sized baking bowl combine lavender scone mix, and butter, using a pastry cutter, cut in butter until combined, add egg, orange juice and orange zest. Stir until mixed together. Add dough onto a greased baking sheet shaping into a 8 inch circle, or roll dough using a little extra flour so dough doesn't stick to rolling pin or hands. Cut out 8 circles and lay on prepared cookie sheet. Bake at preheated 425℉ oven for 13-15 minutes or until top is slightly golden. Lavender Orange Glaze 1 cup powdered sugar 1 1/2 Tbsp orange juice 1/2 tsp lavender extract 1/2 tsp grated orange peel In a small mixing bowl combine powdered sugar, orange juice, lavender extract and grated orange peel. Stir until smooth, it should be the consistency of heavy syrup. When scones are golden and still warm from the oven drizzle a teaspoon of glaze over the the top of scones, garnish with a few culinary lavender flower buds and fresh orange zest. Enjoy!
