Playing around the kitchen today as I was wanting to make a bread. I thought how can I use my Lavender Scone Mix into a streusel bread. With a little mixing and a little thinking, and a couple trials...here is what I came up with. It is lovely bread that you'll want to gobble up right from the oven. It tastes delicious with a touch of butter and honey too. If you don't have time to make the bread, our scone mix is super fast, just 5 minute prep time and 13-15 cook time. But if you have more time to spend in the kitchen this bread is simply delicious! Lavender Streusel Bread
Lavender Scone Mix 1 cup milk 2 eggs 6 Tbl butter (softened) 1 tsp vanilla Preheat the oven to 375℉. In medium sized mixing bowl combine Lavender Scone Mix, 1 cup of milk, eggs, 6 Tbl butter, and vanilla. Stir until ingredients are combined. Set aside and make streusel. Streusel 1/4 cup lavender sugar 1/4 cup brown sugar 2 tsp cinnamon 2 Tbl melted butter In another small mixing bowl combine sugars and cinnamon. Then pour the melted butter over the top of sugar and mix until combined. Spray a loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray. Then add half of bread batter spread to edges of pan. Add half of the streusel and top with remaining batter and layer last of the streusel on top. Bake for 40 minutes, then cover with foil and bake another 20-25 minutes until done. Once baked let cool for 10 minutes and then you can remove it from pan and serve.

I love Fall with all the leaves of the trees turning colors, the shorter days and cooler nights, the chance to snuggle up on the couch. It is the time to enjoy a good book, a great tv series or think up some amazing recipes to try. This is how this one came to fruition..a need for a little relaxation on a Friday night mixed with a little vodka and some apple cider. The inspiration of Fall, the harvest of apples, and our enduring love of Lavender Simple Syrup made this cocktail complete. Fall requires its own celebration of Apples and Lavender and the beautiful combination of flavors that they lend to one another. A bit of sweet and bit of tang, blending together to make this exciting cocktail. The recipe takes just moment to make. We say try one, the second one modify the recipe to add more or less of the ingredients. This is the ratios we liked. Cheers! Apple Lavender Martini 1 oz Apple Cider 1 oz Vodka .5 oz lemon juice .5 oz Lavender Simple Syrup In a cocktail shaker add a cup of ice and then your apple cider, vodka, lemon juice and lavender simple syrup. Give it a few good shakes and pour into martini glasses garnished with Lavender Cocktail Picks and sliced apple. Feel free to share our recipe, but please remember to tag us as well as our photos. Thank you and cheers. All pictures are copyrighted Norwood Lavender Farm.
