Recently had a wine company looking to flavor a Rose wine with lavender. They were inquiring the best methods on doing this. With a little taste testing and exploration we discovered a beautiful way to add lavender extract that accents both the wine and the lavender. See for yourself with our recipe below. Lavender Infused Wine 1 bottle of wine 1 tsp lavender extract Add 1 tsp of lavender extract to a bottle of wine of your choosing, replace cork or cap and lightly shake to combine. When using lavender extract we feel if you leave the bottle to sit for 24 hours the flavors have time to mingle and blend together. Our favorites have been Riesling, rose, and pinot rose. Because we like our wine to sit and mingle its flavors it isn't as easy to flavor sparkling champagnes and wines as they will lose the sparkle. That has to left for wine companies as they can flavor their batch before adding the carbonation. We would love to see what you try with lavender extract #norwoodlavenderfarm.

To make lavender cocktails we've made it easy with our lavender cocktail gift set which includes lavender simple syrup, lavender sugar, lavender cocktail picks and a cocktail shaker. They can all be purchased separately as well.
Cheers! Florals are making an impact in many events and weddings for 2020! So many versatile ways to use flowers in food whether it is uses as fancy floral ice cubes, sprinkled in salads, or salad dressings, frosting and decorating your cake with lavender frostings, drizzling cheese with lavender honey and desserts, flavoring cocktails or used as a skewer it is adding the dramatic, romantic effect that so many are going for in their menu planning. Lavender is the floral favorite when it comes to elevating the romance and flavor in whatever you choose to put it in.
Lavender is being used not only in cakes, but as lavender cream frostings or fillings. Decorated on the outside of the cake makes a simple minimalistic but sophisticated impact. Bakeries are doing this by adding lavender extract, and Culinary Lavender. If your baker needs some guidelines we have that here.
