Lavender Infused Wine

1/6/2023

Recently had a wine company looking to flavor a Rose wine with lavender. They were inquiring the best methods on doing this. With a little taste testing and exploration we discovered a beautiful way to add lavender extract that accents both the wine and the lavender. See for yourself with our recipe below.
Picture
Lavender Infused Wine
1 bottle of wine
1 tsp lavender extract

Add 1 tsp of lavender extract to a bottle of wine of your choosing, replace cork or cap and lightly shake to combine. When using lavender extract we feel if you leave the bottle to sit for 24 hours the flavors have time to mingle and blend together.

Our favorites have been Riesling, rose, and pinot rose. Because we like our wine to sit and mingle its flavors it isn't as easy to flavor sparkling champagnes and wines as they will lose the sparkle. That has to left for wine companies as they can flavor their batch before adding the carbonation.
We would love to see what you try with lavender extract #norwoodlavenderfarm.
