Holidays are about here! This chocolate candy recipe is great any time of year, but especially fun to give for gifts at Christmas. I always love how chocolate pairs with lavender and am always creating new ways to add the two together. You can be creative with your candy as well, sub a different style of nut, chips and even use holiday sprinkles.
You can get fun Christmas candy boxes online here. Add ribbon and a bow and you've got yourself a great gift!
Note-I keep my chocolate in the double boiler while spooning out the chocolate so the chocolate doesn't cool down as fast. This will give you a few more minutes before the chocolate begins to harden.
Chocolate Lavender Candy
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips 1 Tbsp coconut oil 1 tsp vanilla extract 1/4 cup pecans 2 Tbsp Culinary Lavender Bring a double boiler to boiling then turn heat to medium low. Add to your hot double boiler 2 cups chocolate chips, and coconut oil. Stir your chocolate until melted then add and stir in your vanilla. Chocolate chips can be temperamental so once it is melted, quickly make a tray of round disks and sprinkle on your nuts and lavender. I like to gently press my nuts into the chocolate so they don't fall off later. Be careful your chocolate will be hot. Once your chocolate candy has cured you can put it in a cute gift box to give to friends! Let us know what you think of it!
