Florals are making an impact in many events and weddings for 2020! So many versatile ways to use flowers in food whether it is uses as fancy floral ice cubes, sprinkled in salads, or salad dressings, frosting and decorating your cake with lavender frostings, drizzling cheese with lavender honey and desserts, flavoring cocktails or used as a skewer it is adding the dramatic, romantic effect that so many are going for in their menu planning.

Lavender is the floral favorite when it comes to elevating the romance and flavor in whatever you choose to put it in.

Lavender is being used not only in cakes, but as lavender cream frostings or fillings. Decorated on the outside of the cake makes a simple minimalistic but sophisticated impact. Bakeries are doing this by adding lavender extract, and Culinary Lavender. If your baker needs some guidelines we have that here.

Raspberry Lavender Champagne Float

This is absolutely beautiful and will make your want to stay home for Valentine's Day!

Had some fun creating this little sweet cocktail!  I try to think about fun ways to celebrate Valentine's Day at home! It is so busy out on Valentine's Day so we like to just stay home and have a romantic meal, and then watch some fun movie. But if you stay home...you need to make things Special with a sweet cocktail, and some fun and inspiring meal so that you WANT to stay home. Maybe we are just old...and stodgy, but thinking about going out to dinner with tons of other people, waiting to be seated in a very busy restaurant doesn't put the romance in my dinner like a sweet, quiet one at home. Down side to this is...you've got to cook it. Keep it simple and tasty thinking about a quick cleanup will help.

This drink will make you WANT to stay home and celebrate, it is as delicious as it looks and I know you'll love it! If you like things on the sweeter side you may want to double the amount of lavender simple syrup.

Here is to wishing you a fun and Happy Valentine's Day!

Holidays are for gathering as family and friends. We like to invent new recipes each year. We keep it simple and not a lot of ingredients. A good cocktail does not have to be complicated, or have a million ingredients. Most people have vodka around so it's always a great place to start! We feel this particular Moscow Mule will put the right touch of festivity into your holiday! Cheers!
