Everyone has a favorite Christmas cookie! I have to say that one of my favorites is Snowball cookies, or you may know them as Russian Tea Cakes, or even as Mexican Wedding Cakes. So of course we had to work some magic and add culinary lavender...cause yes, everything tastes better with lavender!
Make sure to use Culinary Lavender...not all lavender is the same when you cooking. You want a English Lavender. You can find it here.
When you bake the cookies I find that you just barely want a tinge of tan on them so that they taste buttery rich. If they overbake they lose a little bit of their richness.
Lavender Snowball Cookies
1 cup butter, softened
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
2 cups pecans, chopped
2 tsp culinary lavender
Heat oven to 325℉ .
In a medium sized mixing bowl add butter, sugar and vanilla. Cream together with a mixer on medium speed.
Add to your creamed butter mixture, flour, pecans, 2 tsp culinary lavender. Mix on low speed until combined.
Shape dough into 1" balls, place 1" apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 16-18 minutes or until just barely light brown. Cool for 5 minutes and then roll cookies in powdered sugar. Before serving roll once again in powdered sugar.

Holidays are for gathering as family and friends. We like to invent new recipes each year. We keep it simple and not a lot of ingredients. A good cocktail does not have to be complicated, or have a million ingredients. Most people have vodka around so it's always a great place to start! We feel this particular Moscow Mule will put the right touch of festivity into your holiday! Cheers!
Garnish with Lavender Cocktail Picks and Cranberries
Cran-Lavender Moscow Mule
1 shot vodka
1 shot cranberry juice cocktail
1/2 shot Lime juice
1/2 shot Lavender Simple Syrup (to taste)
2 Shots Ginger Beer
Lavender Cocktail Picks (garnish)
To a shaker add your vodka, cranberry juice cocktail, lime juice and syrup. Shake until mixed and pour into Mule cups. Top with 2 shots of ginger beer and give a gentle stir. Add your cranberry and lavender garnish.
We love a fun breakfast and this Lavender Monkey Bread is so tasty and fun! I love my mini bundt pan from Pampered Chef, but you can totally use a regular size bundt pan or even muffin pans!
Lavender Monkey Bread
Buttermilk Biscuits- 1 container ( I used Trader Joe's)
1/2 cup Lavender Simple Syrup
1/4 cup Lavender Sugar or just sugar works too...
1/4 cup pecans, chopped
3 Tbsp butter
Preheat oven to 350 ℉ and spray your bundt cake.
Open your biscuit container and cut them in 1/4's.
Pour 1/4 cup of Lavender Simple Syrup on the bottom of your pan and top with your pecan pieces.
Melt you butter and dip each of your biscuits into the butter and then roll into your sugar layer them into your baking dish. Once you have layered all the biscuits into baking pan, drizzle with remaining Lavender Simple Syrup and any remaining butter.
Bake for 20-25 minutes for smaller baking dishes and 25-30 for larger baking pans or until golden brown. Remove from oven and let sit for 10 minutes before turning over you baking dish onto your serving platter. Serve while warm.
