I recently went out with a friend where I had a drink that had smoked rosemary. This made me begin to think about lavender of course! So I did a little experimenting for a smoked lavender cocktail. This is what I came up with and I am pleasantly pleased. To make your smoked drinks at home it helps to have your glasses cold so the smoke can adhere better to the glass. So in advance stick your glasses in the freezer for about 15-30 minutes. Smoked Lavender Whiskey Sour 6 Tbsp Lavender Lemonade Mix 2 cups seltzer water 2 shots whiskey 2 Lavender Cocktail Picks Ice Serves 2 Prepare the drink in a shaker, I don't shake but instead stir as I prefer seltzer water for this version. If it's not cold you can stick a few ice cubes in before beginning. Once your recipe is made up and you've poured your drink in the cold glasses stick your Lavender Cocktail Picks into drink, place them on a cake plate that has a domed lid. You can make your own variation of something in your house that will work. For example a bowl over a plate would work just fine too. Light the lavender cocktail picks on fire and immediately stick your lid on top. This will allow the smoke to billow slightly before losing oxygen and going out. Yummm, cheers to a new smokin' drink!!!!

Here is an amazing cocktail to try for a fun weekend with friends! All the full flavor of tea combined with all the elegance of a cocktail. I had so much fun developing this recipe and I think you'll have just as much fun making it. Lavender Earl Grey Martini 1 jigger whip cream vodka 1/2-1 jigger Lavender Simple Syrup (to taste) 1 jigger Lavender Earl Grey Tea (double strength) 1 jigger of cream or milk Ice Lavender Cocktail Pick (garnish) Rim your glass with Lavender Sugar Make your Lavender Earl Grey tea double strength. To do that you will use twice the amount of tea recommended for a cup. Don't let the tea sit in your cup for more than the recommended time of infusion or it will get bitter, typical time to infuse is 3 minutes. In a shaker combine your ingredients give a couple shakes and serve in lavender sugar rimmed martini glasses with a lavender cocktail pick. To rim your glass with a lavender sugar, take two plates, with one plate put a couple Tbsp of lavender simple syrup. To the other plate pour a 1/4 cup of lavender sugar. With a martini glass dip the edges into the lavender simple syrup and then into the sugar. We would love for you to share our pictures and recipes. We just ask that you give photo and recipe credit.
I am what you may call a simple bartender. I don't want tons of ingredients in my cocktails...maybe it is because when I decide I want one, I want it now. Reason two, if you have guests who want a second one, your not in the kitchen half hour while they are waiting on you. Well anyway....there you have it, why I am a simple bartender. This recipe was created out of some inspiration of my pear trees outside. loaded with fruit ready and ripe to pick. I thought how it might make for a fun cocktail. I was looking to create something for fall, with sweetness of summer and a little spice to warm you for fall. With careful investigation of the liquor store I was able to find pear vodka...and not just any pear vodka. A local well known and delicious one made by, Wild Roots. So the concoctions began as I thought a moscow mule style would be the perfect choice with the spicy ginger flavor...so from there here is the recipe. I know you'll love it as much as I do! Cheers and Enjoy! Feel free to share our recipe with photo and recipe credit to Norwood Lavender Farm. Lavender Pear Moscow Mule
